ATO's in Iraq
New
February 10, 2005 - Scott Murphy
I have not run into any Taus within the Marine Corps yet. I have only met one other guy from Sam Houston State and we have been friends ever since. As a matter of fact, we ended up in the war together.
I was with Marine Forces Central Command during the invasion and ended up in Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq for a total of 7 months. I returned home to Hawaii June '03. I currently have orders to Joint Task Force - Full Accounting and should report there in August. While there I will be a team leader for personnel recovery missions to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, North Korea and a few other places to look for MIAs at old crash sites and battlefields. In short, just digging for old bones.
Attached are pictures of my team and I planning communication intercept sites on our "hummer" before the war and one of us shaking hands with the Commandant of the Marine Corps after the war.

Council named Chamber's Businessman of the Year
February 14, 2005 - Herald-Coaster
Longtime Rosenberg-Richmond business leader Jeff Council was named the businessman of the year with the Rosenberg-Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce...
"To receive an honor like this from the chamber of commerce, of which I've been a member of for many years, is certainly a thrill for me to say the least," said Council with the firm NewFirst Insurance Services in Rosenberg. "I was surprised and humbled to receive this honor and I appreciate it very much. I think it's always great when you receive an honor from your business peers, and that's what the chamber is. It's all about business in the Richmond/Rosenberg area. It's an honor I will cherish for a long time."
Council has been a prominent force in the Fort Bend County community since the 1960s. He and partner Orin Covell formed Council-Covell Insurance in 1984. In 1990, they merged with Raymond Chachere to form Chachere-Council-Covell Insurance Services...
